As the year draws to a close, Andrew Bimson, President & COO of North America at Sportradar, in an exclusive interview with Yogonet reflects on a highly transformative year for the company.

Bimson underscores the pivotal role of emerging technologies like AI in revolutionizing gaming products and services in 2024. Sportradar's partnership with the NBA foreshadows an intensified focus on enhancing live betting markets and crafting immersive fan experiences through advanced telecasting and AI-driven analytics.

As for 2024, the company's strategic focus remains on optimizing monetization across its product portfolio, delivering value-added products and services to the downstream market. With a strong emphasis on growth and improved monetization, Sportradar charts a course for continued success and innovation in the coming year.

What is your overall assessment of the company's performance during the closing year? What are the main takeaways and highlights from 2023 for Sportradar?

We continue to be the industry leader and its trusted partner because we have developed enduring and valued relationships with our clients and partners that only deepen due to our innovative capabilities.

Our best-in-class content portfolio is the fuel that powers our existing products and robust recurring revenues. It is also the catalyst for further core revenue growth, product innovation, deeper monetization, and value creation.

2023 was an exciting year at Sportradar and it has us well-positioned and looking forward to the opportunities ahead of us in the new year.

Do you see emerging technologies such as AI playing a key role in the development of products and services in the gaming industry in the next year? Which other trends do you see gaining momentum in 2024?

Highlighting our partnership with the NBA, we intend to drive greater value within the live betting markets and bring to life an immersive fan experience, next-generation telecasting and AI-driven, 3D analytics for coaching solutions. You will also see us introduce products like virtual stadiums, mixed reality and augmented AV, and real-time stats and insights.

We just announced details related to our partnership with ATP, which takes effect at the start of 2024 and is focused on driving commercial growth for the sport and enhancing fan engagement opportunities for the downstream market through the development of new betting and media products. At the center of this partnership will be our ATP Service+ suite of solutions comprised of value-added, AI-built products that will leverage previously unavailable deep data.

We also have exciting plans in place for our other top partners in the U.S., such as MLB, NHL and NASCAR. 2024 will be a busy year, focused on the themes of personalization, convergence and the continued growth of live betting.

What are your expectations for the upcoming year and where will the company's focus be during the next 12 months? Are there any priorities, goals, and plans for 2024 that you can share with us?

Looking forward to 2024 we expect to continue on our growth trajectory by leveraging our enhanced content portfolio, which will feature our global NBA and ATP rights, and achieving improved monetization across our product portfolio as we serve the downstream market with value-added products and services.
