Caesars Sportsbook launching updated Nevada mobile betting app

The Caesars Sportsbook by William Hill Nevada mobile betting app went offline last week in order to begin upgrading to the new and improved Caesars Nevada Sportsbook application. In an announcement last Wednesday, Caesars noted customers would be automatically migrated onto the new platform, which is currently live in other states.

“Nevada is an important place for Caesars Entertainment and remains at the heart of everything we do for our customers here,” Caesars Digital president Eric Hession said, as per Las Vegas Review-Journal. “We’re thrilled to bring our best sports wagering platform to our devoted sports bettors in this market and look forward to providing them with a sports wagering experience that treats them like royalty.

“We’d like to thank the Nevada Gaming Control Board for making this possible and we thank our customers for their patience as we complete the work to get them back in the game with our updated app.”

Account access became temporarily unavailable on mobile for the transition, with all funds and any open wagers to be maintained and unaffected during the process. In the meantime, Calesars noted its customers could still visit Caesars Sportsbook retail locations in Nevada to wager and access their funds.

“Access to accounts is temporarily unavailable – including wagering and account history. Our top priority is to get our customers back in the game as soon as possible. Customer[s] can expect updates from us throughout the account transition,” read a message when attempting access.

The updated app provides users more ways to wager, including same-game parlays, and more Caesars Rewards. According to Caesars, customers with William Hill Nevada mobile betting app accounts will receive a similar upgrade shortly. Until then, the William Hill app accounts will remain separate and active on their current platform with no interruption of service.

Caesars Sportsbook is launching its transition after a worst-case scenario happened earlier this year, when the Caesars-backed William Hill app crashed right before kickoff on Super Bowl Sunday, remaining inaccessible through the next day in Nevada.

It also comes at an appropriate time, with the company waiting until the end of the NBA and NHL seasons. Otherwise, customers would have been locked out of their accounts during key sporting events for the transition.
