The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board levied $100,350 in fines Wednesday for violations that occurred with a casino and a gaming manufacturer licensee.

In the first incident, Mountainview Thoroughbred Racing Association, operator of Hollywood Casino York, was fined $78,000 for failure to meet minimum security staffing requirements.

Meanwhile, TCS John Huxley America and TCS John Huxley Europe, a licensed Table Game Manufacturer, also agreed to a fine of $22,350 for failure to file principal licensing applications in line with state law.

The approved consent agreement was the result of negotiations between the Office of Enforcement Counsel (OEC) and the three operators.

Additionally, at the meeting held Wednesday, the Board also acted on petitions to ban 5 adults from all casinos in the Commonwealth for leaving a total of nine children unattended in order to engage in gaming activities.

"The Board’s actions regarding adults who chose to enter a casino while leaving children under their care unattended serve as a reminder that adults are prohibited from leaving minors unattended in the parking lot or garage, a hotel, or other venues at a casino since it creates a potentially unsafe and dangerous environment for the children," the regulator said.

"Leaving minors unattended at a Pennsylvania casino subjects the offending adult to criminal prosecution in addition to exclusion from all Pennsylvania casinos," the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board further noted.

As reported by the Board, since the start of 2022 through April 2023, it has identified 359 incidents of adults leaving children unattended to gamble at Pennsylvania casinos involving 576 minors. The next regulator's meeting is scheduled for June 28.
