iGaming content provider Play’n GO announced Tuesday it has landed a license to supply its portfolio of content to the US state of Connecticut, further expanding its presence in the country. The license is the fourth obtained by the Swedish company in the US territory, following New Jersey, Michigan and West Virginia.

Being one of the first suppliers to get licensed to provide online slot games in the Canadian province of Ontario in 2022, in addition to boasting a growing North American-based team, “it’s clear that the momentum is with Play’n GO in North America," the company said in a statement.

Despite only being live with a few operators in the US after acquiring the licenses, the company’s games, including Book of Dead, are "poised to break into the top 10 most popular titles in all of North America already.”

Magnus Olsson, Chief Commercial Officer for Play'n GO, said: "Gaining further market access to US iGaming States has been an important goal of the company so it's fantastic to be able to add Connecticut to our US push.”

"Online gaming operators in the US are increasingly looking at retention strategies to mitigate against costly acquisition – especially in expensive media markets like the New Jersey, New York and Connecticut tri-state area,” he added. “Being able to bring Play'n GO games to Connecticut - the best content in the industry for retention - will be music to the ears of operators and their players."

Play'n GO is set to release more than 50 online slot titles in 2023 and is active in many regulated jurisdictions worldwide, including Ontario, New Jersey, Michigan and West Virginia in North America.

"Our strategy is to be the best in every regulated market in the world. Our new license in Connecticut joins the more than 25 other regulated markets we are already thriving in, and we can't wait to get started,” the excutive concluded.

The news comes days after the company released its latest online slot, called Colt Lightning, which sees "a wild horse struck with lighting harness electrifying powers that play out on the reels."

Set on a unique layout, three features have been developed to complement each other throughout the game, which Play'n GO says are ideal for newcomers to slots and enthusiasts alike.

Colt Strike sees the Colt symbols increased on the reels upping the potential of a non-winning round. If a horseshoe symbol lands on reel three, this will activate the Re-spins feature, which not only gives the potential to gain a win but the reel height is also increased by one row; this feature can play out up to three times, upping the potential further.
