The UKGC is investigating a suspected breach of the betting shop operator's license conditions. The license suspension is effective from July 7. Martin Henry Bailey holds a non-remote license for Bailey's Racing, Beterbet, and Dave Bow.

The UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) announced on Wednesday that it has started a review on Martin Henry Bailey, and decided to suspend their operating license with immediate effect, pending the conclusion of the review.

The regulator stated that it had suspended the operator’s license due to concerns that activities may have been carried not in accordance with conditions of their license. Due to these reasons, the bookmaker may be unsuitable to carry on the licensed activities.

The license suspension is effective from July 7.

Martin Henry Bailey holds a non-remote license for the trading names of Bailey's Racing, Beterbet, and Dave Bow. He runs a Bailey's Racing betting shop in Basildon, England.

“We have made it clear to the operator that during the course of the suspension, we expect it to focus on treating consumers fairly and that the suspension does not prevent paying out winning bets placed by consumers prior to suspension,” the commission stated.
