The former Eldorado Casino in downtown Henderson is scheduled to reopen next month with a new name and branding.

The former Eldorado Casino in Henderson is scheduled to open in April. The remodeled downtown property, which will be called The Pass, was purchased by Joe DeSimone of DeSimone Gaming from Boyd Gaming in 2020.

DeSimone Gaming said in a statement that The Pass Casino is set to open at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 1, pending approval from state gaming regulators.

The Pass will have increased gaming, dining and entertainment options, according to DeSimone Gaming, including a 24-hour cafe, Italian restaurant open Thursday through Sunday and more than 350 slot machines.

A shuttle will also connect it with Railroad Pass, DeSimone's other property located at the junction of Interstate 11 and Boulder City Parkway.

"We expect the Pass to become an entertainment destination for Henderson residents," owner Joe DeSimone said in a press release. "Our unique venues and customer service will keep bringing them back!"

The casino will have more than 350 slot machines, along with a 24-hour restaurant called Emilia’s Café and an Italian-themed eatery called Ristorante Italiano.

The casino’s sports book will be operated by Circa Sports.

The Pass would be one of three gaming properties in downtown Henderson's Water Street District, along with the Rainbow Club and Emerald Island.
