Since 1993, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation has infused over $4 billion of Foxwoods' slot revenue into the Connecticut state economy through the Mashantucket Pequot Fund, supporting much-needed programs and services throughout Connecticut. Foxwoods' contribution to the state in December 2017 is $9.8 million.

The holidays are a time for giving and this December, Foxwoods wrapped up another successful "Stuff the Bus" campaign in support of the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut and its "Tommy Toy" Fund program. When the program ended on December 11, buses were overflowing with thousands of unwrapped toys, blankets, pajamas, jackets and diapers to be donated to families in need.

December brought the grand opening of Rainmaker Stadium, a dynamic stadium-gaming experience in the Rainmaker Casino featuring 30 play terminals and the ability for players to toggle seamlessly between live Blackjack and Mini-Baccarat games. Moreover, guests were treated to a dazzling entertainment lineup thanks to the jaw-dropping illusions of MINDFREAK LIVE! starring Criss Angel and rollicking stand-up from late night sensation John Oliver. Rock legends The B-52's delivered an infectious performance on New Year's Eve to usher in 2018 in style.
