Strong gaming division performance boosts Playtech's revenue

Total revenue for the first six months of the year was USD 497.5M, up from 398.5M collected in 2016.

According to its official financial report, gaming revenue increased 22.8% to 376.5 million euros (347.43 million pounds).

Playtech, which counts the likes of Paddy Power Betfair, William Hill and Betfred among its customers, has been active in the wave of consolidation in the gambling sector, and on Wednesday announced that it will buy technology, intellectual property and some customer assets from ACM Group.

Its interim dividend was increased by 10% to 12.1 euro cents.
