With the London trade show becoming a new opportunity to "bring the global gamingt community together," Mr. Robinson tells Yogonet that NOVOMATIC will be featuring "for the first time this year the latest Ainsworth products, as well as a range of video bingo innovations by Otium."

Why is ICE Totally Gaming an ideal opportunity to unveil your next generation solutions?

ICE is a great event to kick-off every year, bringing the global gaming community together, and allowing NOVOMATIC to present our product roadmap for the year ahead. As Europe’s largest gaming technology provider, we are committed to creating a strong show presence each year with the biggest and most diversified stand – and this year our stand space will again increase to make way for an even wider selection of products from our expanding international group of companies. Further, the trade show gives us the opportunity to combine both our leading land-based as well as interactive solutions all in one space, in order to demonstrate our Omni-channel solutions.

What can you tell us about the products you’re planning to unleash at the trade show?

Due to its sheer size, our stand at ICE is divided into five distinct sections: casinos and systems; interactive; UK products for casino, arcade and pub markets; international AWP, VLT and cash managements solutions; and lotteries and sports betting.

A key product to watch out for is Darts Heroes, a new slot title by StakeLogic, part of the NOVOMATIC Interactive division. Featured in the game, four of the world’s top darts stars – Gary Anderson, Raymond van Barneveld, Phil Taylor and world number one Michael van Gerwen – will go head-to-head in a darts competition hosted by Russ “The Voice” Bray live on our stand at 1pm on Tuesday, February 7th.

How do you feel the European gambling markets will evolve in terms of player trends and technology impacts?

The evolution of technology and player trends go hand-in-hand. The rise in usage of new technologies is reflected in gaming behaviour and higher standards are continually demanded.

The acquisition strategy of NOVOMATIC to add experts in specific fields, and provide support and synergies amongst the Group, allows us to quickly react to changing regulations while at the same time advancing the experience for players.

Which jurisdictions do you feel currently offer the most potential for gaming growth?

This year is important for the UK gaming industry as new regulation is expected to come into play that will create new opportunities. And of course, the industry’s eyes remain firmly glued on the legislative progress being made in Brazil and Japan.

What discussions should drive the 2017 agenda? Where will the focus be?

Giving players more engagement with slot machines is a key area of focus this year, adding standalone and linked progressive jackpots to leading games will be high on the agenda. We will present our Jackpot Edition™ game compendium for the first time at ICE, which adds a dynamic jackpot enhancement to NOVO LINE™ Interactive slot games.
