The market seems to be “picking up again,” Mr. Sa'd told Yogonet in an exclusive interview as he discussed with us the highlights of the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) that took place back in September in the gambling mecca of Las Vegas.

How did G2E attendees react to your product lineup?

We had a very good show, and the reaction from our visitors was great. We showed many different technologies at this show, and we are happy with the results. We actually generated opportunities from the show that will add to our customer base and add new product to our portfolio.

What would you say were the highlights of this G2E edition? What were the trends at the show?

I saw many new cabinet designs, and many licensed themes as well. The trend seems to be going to "bigger, brighter" and licensed games seems to be continuing as well. I also noticed that newer LCD technology is driving the trend.

As you probably saw at the show, Curve was the trend this year. A lot of manufacturers are using Curved LCD monitors with enhanced films and brightness. Again, bigger and brighter

There was also a good presence of 3D technology at the show, but the best one that was exhibited in my opinion was the one at the IGT booth. Not only it was 3D, but rather 4D utilizing gesture controls – a really smart idea.

I think that the show was well attended and now that the industry consolidations are settled down, it looks like the market is picking up again.

There is also a lot of talk about new markets and one in particular is Brazil. Once that market opens up - sooner than later- it will create a huge opportunity for all gaming solution manufacturers and providers

How is this year going for the company? What is coming next?

We are having a great year and growing steadily. Ever since we became a privately owned company (owned by HTP of Taiwan), we took control of our company, understood our finances better and became profitable in less than a year.

I also have to mention that our mother company HTP is well funded and supports us very well, which allows us to invest more on R&D, and hence pursuing different technologies and markets. We are also investing heavily in LCD enhancement technologies, and we are also getting into new markets.

What new markets are you going to pursue in the coming months?

We are making very good progress, especially in Kiosk markets, audio and speakers and signage. We are also going after new emerging markets that we will be revealing as we make progress.
