eCOGRA announces new compliance testing service

The required test regime involves a number of assessments conducted at both the operator’s and software provider’s network security layer and host security layer to identify threats that may compromise the confidentiality, integrity, accountability and availability of the organization’s information systems.

eCOGRA has developed the necessary professional capabilities to conduct such assessments using in-house specialist resources.

Chief executive officer Andrew Beveridge said: "In order to effectively service our clients across multiple regulated jurisdictions, it was necessary for us to have the professional capability to provide the full suite of services required by licensing authorities, without the need for our clients to involve additional third party contractors. Our ability to now perform vulnerability and penetration testing complements our other in-house services such as games and platform testing, RNG and RTP monitoring, information security audits and Alternative Dispute Resolution."

The new eCOGRA services will be headed by business development manager Shaun McCallaghan, who said that the introduction of vulnerability and penetration testing services was in response to operator demand. "In order to meet this demand, we’ve put together a first rate team of individuals with Big 4 auditing firm and online gambling industry backgrounds, including Ethical Hackers, ISO 27001 Lead Auditors, Vulnerability Assessors and Certified Information System Auditors," he remarked.
