Shoutz signs partnership with Abacus Solutions International

Shoutz Inc., and Abacus Solutions International have announced a partnership that will create new promotional opportunities, with the goal of significantly and inexpensively increasing clients’ profits from lottery ticket sales.

Abacus is a United Kingdom-based technology provider for lotteries. The company’s electronic point of sale platform, Fusion, empowers multi-lane retailers like grocery stores, drug stores and big box retailers to sell lottery tickets from existing cash registers, without modification. This secure system simplifies management while opening access to considerably more customer traffic than found in traditional lottery retail environments.

Shoutz’s Front Flip mobile application and proprietary lottery incentive programs help drive customers through retail front doors, then turn them into loyal players. Shoutz will integrate Front Flip’s instant-win and “gifting” functionalities with Abacus’ Fusion platform to help promote lottery games and consumer brands, and to build customer loyalty.

Players purchasing tickets through Abacus’ system will see QR codes printed on their tickets, which they can scan using Front Flip to enter mobile-based promotions. These promotions will let lotteries reward ticket purchase behavior, promote new games and encourage brand loyalty. Additionally, Front Flip rewards integrated with promotions sponsored by consumer brands will encourage sales and generate incremental traffic for lottery retailers.

“Lottery retailers using this system will be where bricks meet clicks,” said Abacus CEO Simon Butler. “Abacus systems make better use of existing infrastructure to significantly increase points-of-sale at little cost. Coupled with their mobile app and the actionable data Shoutz collects, these systems will help our shared clients market smarter and sell more.”

Front Flip was named 2015 Best Marketing App by the American Business Association. Front Flip has been used to promote sales and build loyalty for consumer brands like McDonald’s, Bud Light, KFC and more.

Abacus’ Fusion system is currently used by Dutch lottery operator De Lotto to seamlessly introduce lottery games to multiple parts of the shopping experience. Abacus also simplifies retail transactions for large multi-lane and smaller retailers using their Fusion Platform.
