The New Jersey online casino market added another brand Monday with the launch Mohegan Sun Casino.com, an offshoot of the famous US land casino.

The new operation is the result of a collaborative deal with Resorts and uses the same NYX i-gaming platform and New Jersey license.

Mohegan Sun took over the management of Resorts Casino in August of 2012, and is the second brand to operate under Resorts interactive gaming licence. New Jersey licensees are permitted to operate up to five brands on a single license.

Given the high awareness of the Mohegan Casino brand, interactive marketing head Lee Terfloth expects the new online venture to quickly grow and secure a significant market-share.

Resorts’ own NYX-powered online operation was launched in February this year and, despite being late into the market, is doing surprisingly well, in June capturing 4 percent of the market with revenue of $400,000 after climbing steadily from launch.
