Betfair will use the club’s platforms to connect with fans across the UK and will also benefit from branding placement on in-stadium LED screens and interview backgrounds.
Stephen Mault, head of media, sponsorship and PR at Betfair said: “Sunderland is a club with great heritage and we look forward to growing a successful relationship over the course of the upcoming season.”
The deal comes shortly after Betfair and rival operator Bet365 also entered into a partnership with EPL side Aston Villa.
