Mississippi Gulf casinos see 9 percent revenue jump in October

(US).- A strong performance by Mississippi’s Gulf Coast casinos boosted gambling revenue to USD 167 M in October. The figure bested the USD 165.5 M lost by gamblers in October of 2013.

(US).- A strong performance by Mississippi’s Gulf Coast casinos boosted gambling revenue to USD 167 M in October. The figure bested the USD 165.5 M lost by gamblers in October of 2013.

 

The 11 casinos in South Mississippi showed 9 percent jump in revenue - despite the closing of the Margaritaville Casino in Biloxi. Mississippi Department of Revenue figures showed the coast casinos took in US$ 90.9 million, up more than US$ 7 million from October 2013.

The Mississippi River casinos reported revenue of US$ 76 million, down US$ 6 million from October 2013.
