SLS President to leave after only 2 months

Oseland is leaving to join former Wynn Resorts executive Andrew Pascal on another north Strip project. Pascal and Australian casino mogul James Packer .intend to build a resort on the site of the former New Frontier

“It’s been a tremendous honor to be a part of the SLS family and the opening of a game-changing property,” Oseland said in a statement. “And while I’ll cherish my time with the SLS team, working with Andrew on his new project enables me to further my passion for developing and opening unique resort destinations.”

Kreeger brings years of gaming management experience, most recently as the chief operating officer of the Revel Casino Resort in Atlantic City. Revel was one of four casinos in Atlantic City to close this year.

Prior to his time in New Jersey, Kreeger held various positions in the Las Vegas casino industry. He began at then-MGM Mirage before joining the management team of Station Casinos.

“SLS will have a transformative impact on Vegas and the business overall, and I look forward to working alongside one of our industry’s greats in Rob through the transition,” Kreeger said in the statement.

Oseland’s departure comes two weeks after SLS announced it was laying off about 2 percent of its workforce.

Sam Nazarian, whose company SBE operates SLS Las Vegas, remained positive in the company statement.

“Scott is an extremely gifted leader whose skill set and dynamic understanding of both the Strip and the local community will enable us to take our vision for SLS Las Vegas to the next level,” Nazarian said. “I want to thank Rob for his extraordinary collaboration in developing and opening SLS Las Vegas, which has been a powerful catalyst for the revitalization of the north end of the Strip since our grand opening.”

Oseland will remain to “support with the transition” until Dec. 31, the statement said.
