China lotteries to surpass US$ 49 million in sales
(China) According to China.org reports, the country’s two main official lotteries, the Welfare Lottery and the Sports Lottery, could combine to exceed the US$ 49 billion in total sales reached in 2013.

(China) According to China.org reports, the country’s two main official lotteries, the Welfare Lottery and the Sports Lottery, could combine to exceed the US$ 49 billion in total sales reached in 2013.
China.org reports, observing that last year the Sports Lottery delivered sales worth USD 21.3 billion, and the Welfare Lottery USD 27.7 billion, year-on-year increases of 20.2 percent and 16.9 percent respectively.
In comparision, the growth in global lottery sales last year was 4.9 percent, while with the California state lottery achieved a 13 percent rise in sales to US$ 5 billion in 2013. .
After the deduction of outgoings, national and local governments in China split lottery income evenly at 50/50, with social spending the guiding imperative on expenditure priorities.
