(US).- Wynn Resorts is redesigning its proposed USD 1.6 B resort casino in Everett and has scheduled a public meeting to discuss its cleanup plan for the heavily polluted former chemical plant site, at Tufts University in Medford.

The updates were part of Wynn’s first status report to state regulators since besting Mohegan Sun for the lucrative Boston-area casino license last month.

The Massachusetts Gaming Commission in its decision asked Wynn to make changes to its 27-story glass hotel tower.

Wynn plans to redevelop the 30-acre former Monsanto Chemical Co.site along the Mystic River across from Boston. Two other companies hold state gambling licenses: MGM Resorts and Penn National Gaming.
