Konami unveils Solstice Celebration video slot

Available in fixed 20, 30 and 40-line configurations, Solstice Celebration displays across Konamis’s Podium cabinet family, including Upright, Slant and Goliath. 

Sparkle Feature

As an Xtra Reward title, this game offers extra features to the player in exchange for a higher bet. In Solstice Celebration specifically, additional win opportunities are delivered through its unique Sparkle Feature, which is triggered by two or more reels with a golden frame in all positions. This prompts any reel with any number of framed symbols to nudge and expand so the entire reel is framed, at which time all framed symbols are replaced by the same gigantic, sparkling symbol—either a stream of gems, a horse, butterflies, sunflowers, a spring princess, a wild sun or symbols A, K, Q, J, 10 or 9—for an extra chance to win even more.

Free Game Feature

Solstice Celebration’s Free Game Feature is triggered during the Sparkle Feature. If the Sparkle Feature’s golden-framed, gigantic symbols land on the spring princess, she showers the screen with flowers to celebrate wins of 10, 15, 20 or 40 free games. An additional exciting benefit of the Free Game Feature is that any wild sun symbol automatically nudges to cover the entire reel with wilds. Not to mention, the Sparkle Feature recurs quite frequently within the free games. 

“The nudging wilds that you see during Solstice Celebrations’ free game bonus feature are great because they occur with a slight delay after the spin, for greater excitement and anticipation even when they don’t achieve a win,” said Aching.
