Ireland to implement online betting tax

(Ireland).- Ireland’s Finance Minister, Michael Noonan, is expected to introduce the Betting Amendment Bill shortly in Ireland. The bill will see the introduction of a new online betting tax is estimated to raise 32 million USD per year, the report said.

The tax will be levied on foreign-based companies who receive bets from Irish residents estimated to be in the region of €1.6bn annually, the Irish Examiner said.
