(US, exclusive Yogonet.com).- IGT premiered at G2E Las Vegas two compelling slot machines: The Ellen DeGeneres Show Featuring Ellen’s Dance Party Video Slots and The Ellen DeGeneres Show, in addition to other games, hardware and systems . Joe Sigrist, IGT VP Game Design and Global Product Management, talked to Yogonet.com about the show and IGT's performance.

What novelties did IGT present at recent G2E?
G2E 2014 was exciting for IGT across all our product lines – games, hardware and systems. Our products reflect IGT’s thoughtful approach to game design and development and our tireless commitment to innovation that drives ROI to our customers and to game content that elicits player excitement across platforms.

From a games perspective, we unveiled our two new themes based on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Both housed on our CrystalCore cabinet, these games will simultaneously be released to the field very soon. We are fortunate to be working with that brand in the peak of its popularity and feel that the Show’s notoriety will help drive play to casinos worldwide.  We also wowed G2E attendees with Race Ace, the latest title to join our skill-based Video Reel Edge (VRE) family.  At G2E, customer after customer was able to sit down and enjoy the skill-driven bonus round and experience first-hand how IGT is innovating for the demands of the next-gen player.

It was a very exciting moment to unveil our newest hardware, the S3000 cabinet. We’re making spinning reels cool again, and we’re planning to release more than 50 themes in its first year. IGT created this cabinet and theme pipeline with meticulous detail – preserving that spinning-reel experience that “slot purist” covet so deeply, yet innovating in ways that resonate with new player segments. There is nothing like the S3000 out there today and it will be exciting to see lively banks of these showing up on casino floors very soon.

It was also very gratifying to show our customers the Company’s latest innovations in systems. Now, through our Advantage system, our customers can monitor player preferences across platforms – from the land-based environment, to our social platform, DoubleDown Casino. This technology enables operators to get a more complete picture of their customers beyond the walls of their casinos. Now that Wheel of Fortune is available on DoubleDown Casino, this more comprehensive view of the player is more valuable than ever.

What feedback did you receive from visitors and what are your views on the latest edition of G2E?
We received resoundingly positive feedback on our portfolio as a whole.  Our emphasis on volatility, innovation and presentation was evident in every product in our booth. The S3000 was definitely a buzz-driver, but so were many other titles. Our booth guests were impressed with our Wheel of Fortune story, not fully realizing the remarkable volume of jackpots that IGT and Wheel of Fortune have paid over the years.  They enjoyed seeing the newest ‘spin’ on the famed titled with Wheel of Fortune Jackpot Paradise and the ultra-inventive Wheel of Fortune Ultra Wheels, a title that’s base game is played on wheels, rather than reels.

I believe that our portfolio is smart, innovative and built to perform.

What are the main markets for the company?
As a global company, all gaming markets worldwide are incredibly important to IGT. We are constantly seeking ways to best meet the unique demands of each region and their individual player segments. We look forward to touring our new product portfolio around the world at future trade shows.

What are your business strategies for 2015?
For the remainder of 2014 and into 2015 we’ll continue to do what sets IGT apart - create and deploy the industry’s best content in as many places as possible and innovate to drive customer ROI and generate player excitement.
