(Nepal).- The Casino Royale in the Nepalese capital of Kathmandu has been cleared to resume operations by the country’s Supreme Court. Earlier this year, the government shut down 10 casinos based in five-star hotels throughout the country, saying they had failed to pay royalties owed to the authorities.

The Casino Royale has been shut for nearly six months even after clearing its dues. Nine casinos remain closed, pending steps to pay their outstanding taxes.

The venue’s website said the casino is open 24 hours during normal operations offering live dealer table games of roulette, blackjack, pontoon, baccarat and kitty, as well as slot games.
