(US).- US national newspaper USA Today has formed a partnership with OpenWager, a social casino company, to launch a new mobile bingo game called ‘USA Today Bingo Cruise.’ The game is free-to-download and marks OpenWager’s entrance into the casual games market.

Available to download to both iOS and Android devices, the title blends classic bingo gameplay with a storyline in which players board an ocean liner and visit ports around the world, unlocking new levels and destinations as they progress.

Social features on the game include friends’ lists, private messaging, power-ups and achievement tracking – all of which will be synced with players’ social network accounts.

“Our company is committed to helping USA Today delight its readers with this exciting new game while opening a new and valuable line of mobile-based digital revenue,” OpenWager chief executive officer John Cahill said.

Derek Murphy, general manager and executive vice-president of USA Today, added: “OpenWager helped us create a best-in-class game app that will both delight our current audience of game players and serve as an invitation for others to come have fun and share the game with their friends.”
