Harrah's Metropolis modern makeover to be revealed in November

(US).- Harrah's Metropolis Casino & Hotel will unveil its new look in a celebratory weekend planned for November 19-23. Updates include a new modern design of the main lobby, new slots on the single-level casino floor, as well as new table games and a World Series of Poker room. The opening will also see the addition of a new restaurant, lounge, three new bars and a live entertainment stage to the property.

"Harrah's Metropolis has long-served as an entertainment center for southern Illinois," said Brad Hirsch, Harrah's Metropolis senior vice president and general manager. "With the addition of a new restaurant and lounge as well as upgraded gaming area, we will continue our tradition of providing guests with the region's premier hospitality and entertainment experiences. Following months of hard work, our team is looking forward to introducing our frequent guests as well as new friends to this first-class facility."

Grand opening festivities to celebrate the new space will begin Wednesday, Nov. 19 and continue throughout the weekend with an all-star line-up of live music, special events and promotions.

Harrah's Metropolis' current dockside casino and restaurants are open to the public and will continue to welcome guests until the grand opening weekend. Harrah's Metropolis Casino is located at 100 E. Front Street in Metropolis, Ill. The casino is located at Exit 37 just off Interstate-24 on the Ohio River, west of Paducah, KY.
