(US).- The Delaware Lottery has recorded a month-on-month increase of 24 percent in online poker revenue during August while its Nevada counterpart reported a significant drop in results. Regulators in Delaware have posted online poker revenue of USD 38,655, which represents the second consecutive month of growth after the US state saw online poker revenue rise 22.6 percent in July.

In addition to online poker, Delaware saw overall online gambling for the month total USD 172,855, which is up slightly from the previous month.

Despite the success in Delaware, the fellow regulated state of Nevada saw online poker revenue fall for a second consecutive month.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board reported that the state generated US$ 742,000 in online poker revenue, which represents a drop of 22.5% on the previous month and is the lowest amount since the state began reporting figures.

However, despite this setback, online poker revenue generated in August is up around 8.7% on a year-on-year basis when compared to the US$ 677,000 collected in the same month last year. Between September 2013 and August 2014, the state of Nevada generated a total of US$ 11.1 million in online gaming win.
