Horseshoe Casino Baltimore seeking more 300 employees by end of month

(US).- With less than a month until the Horseshoe Casino Baltimore opens, the South Baltimore gaming facility has filled about 1,900 of up to 2,200 positions. The casino is still accepting applications for all positions, General Manager Chad Barnhill said. He said 1,600 new employees started at the casino July 28, joining the 300 supervisors that had already been brought on board.
“We’re in great shape with hiring,” Barnhill said. “The energy level of the team members that have come on board has been fantastic.”
The Maryland casino still has all positions posted and will hire between 2,000 and 2,200 employees total, Barnhill said. More than 31,000 people applied for those jobs.
Horseshoe is gearing up for an August 26 grand opening, with control days August 18 and 21 to prove the facility complies with state rules and regulations.
“As we get closer and closer, we’ll have a little bit of attrition,” Barnhill said. “We want to make sure we have a great applicant pool to be able to come in and fill that in.”
