(Japan).- Japan’s pachinko parlour operators are hoping that casinos will rescue them from decline, according to agency news, Bloomberg. Attendance has decreased by over 60 percent since the mid 1990s.

It quotes Advanced Research Japan senior analyst DaigoFukunaga as saying: “Pachinko companies are feeling a sense of crisis that they will go into decline unless they do something.”

Mr Fukunaga said that what pachinko companies would like to do is invest in casinos, once casinos are made legal in Japan.
