Rational Group licensed to launch casino games in Spain

(Spain).- Reel Spain, Spanish subsidiary of PokerStars and Full Tilt operator Rational Group, has secured provisional licenses to launch blackjack and roulette products in the regulated Spanish online gaming market. The firm received approval late last week.
According to Spain's gambling regulator, La Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego (DGOJ), Reel Spain submitted its licence applications for the two games in March. It marks the first time that Rational Group has sought to launch non-poker products in a regulated market, with its casino offering currently only available on its dot.com site.
Rational Group, which was acquired by Amaya, has been working to expand its product range, with a foray into casino gaming underway and social casino and sports betting projects planned for 2015.
