Wynn Resorts name new Director of Community Relations

(US).- Effective immediately, Wynn Resorts has appointed community advocate and long-time Las Vegas resident Jocelyn Bluitt-Fisher to the position of director of community relations.

(US).- Effective immediately, Wynn Resorts has appointed community advocate and long-time Las Vegas resident Jocelyn Bluitt-Fisher to the position of director of community relations.

In her role, Bluitt-Fisher will be responsible for the development and implementation of Wynn Resorts’ philanthropic and community relations endeavors including establishing charitable programs and partnerships within Wynn Resort’s charitable focus areas. 

“Wynn Resorts has a longstanding history of being involved and supportive of the communities in which our employees live and work,” said Kim Sinatra, senior vice president and general counsel for Wynn Resorts. “We are privileged to add Jocelyn’s passion, talents and expertise to our team to bring the community efforts of our remarkable and compassionate 12,000 team members to the next level.” 

Most recently, Bluitt-Fisher served as the director of corporate philanthropy & community engagement for MGM Resorts International. In her role, Bluitt-Fisher was credited for implementing corporate programs that both educated and engaged the company’s employees on community needs and issues. In addition, she was responsible for overseeing the company’s charitable giving including the employee-based giving program, The MGM Resorts Foundation. 

Previous to that, Bluitt-Fisher served as Senior Neighborhood Services Specialist for the City of Las Vegas where she was responsible for developing and administering grant programs as well as coordinating volunteer opportunities to engage citizens in improving their neighborhoods. 

An active community member, Bluitt-Fisher has helped design several education and youth engagement programs that encourage youth to take ownership of their communities while also serving as a board member of The Public Education Foundation, the Southern Nevada Regional Planning Coalition’s Committee on Homelessness, and the Las Vegas Urban League. 

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications from Xavier University of Louisiana and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
