What betting solutions did you unveil at ICE?
We launched a number of new and exciting products at ICE 2014 and expected a lot of interest. Therefore we designed an easy to navigate stand and had more than 20 staff on hand to make sure every visitor had our undivided attention. The stand was split into a number of specific areas, each one showcasing a major product. As always, our online and retail sportsbook with its peerless coverage of more than 14,000 live matches commanded a lot of interest. However, our new products – state-of-the-art Live Casino, Data and Statistics, Next Generation Sportsbook, Virtual Games and Financials – were the stars of the show.
What are the main features of your recently launched product, Data and Statistics?
Customers are increasingly demanding data from events in real-time and BetConstruct helps operators deliver that service effectively and profitably. Our data and statistics product provides both operators and players real-time access to animated game action and live, in-play data across a whole host of sports and events. This enables them to make instantaneous decisions on where to place their bets.
Even though the process of odds creation is automated, to ensure the highest quality and security standards it is controlled, verified and supervised in real-time by a dedicated team of more than 200 traders.
Because in sports betting every second counts, our network of highly trained and quality controlled match reporters deliver invaluable event information via our ground-breaking software in less than two seconds. The data transmission, powered by unique in-house developed technology, is extremely fast and accurate.
Our Statistics Centre also plays an important role for our partners and their end users. It provides access to comprehensive data whose content, layout and graphics can be customised to perfectly suit an operator’s own preferences. The Statistics Centre presents historical and live data not only for the major leagues of the most popular sports, but also for almost every global sport, making sure customers do not leave an operator’s site to find additional information they may require when making betting decisions.
How would you class your performance at ICE and what was the feedback of visitors like?
Over the course of the three days at the ICE we did not have time to catch our breath, it was that busy. The interest towards our products was so immense that we were even conducting meetings at our stand after the expo closed and the dismantling crews started their work.
We met many of our existing partners as well as many new prospective customers. Our most recent agreement has been to sign an exclusive contract with one of Belgium’s largest gaming operators to provide it with our cutting-edge sportsbook platform. As a result of the expo, we will announce a number of additional partnerships in the coming weeks and months.
You have customers in Europe, Russia, Central and South East Asia, and Africa. Which is your most important market?
Demand is emerging from a number of areas including land-based/retail groups that want to go online, retail operators that require a high-performing sportsbook, new operators in newly regulated territories that are looking to go online for the first time, as well as existing online operators that have seen our cutting-edge products and want to take them on board to boost revenues.
All of the markets you have mentioned are important to us. With the opening of our regional offices in Central Europe and South Africa, we expect to expand and grow our footprint considerably in these territories. However, we don’t overlook emerging markets that are either regulating or are considering regulating online gaming in the short to medium term.
Are there any new markets you want to target?
We have partners in more than 20 countries, whom we serve from our regional offices in UK, Malta, Latvia, Belarus, South Africa and Armenia. We are certainly interested in the USA and other newly regulated markets and you can expect us to actively pursue new opportunities in these regions.
What are your plans and expectations for 2014?
The main goal for BetConstruct in 2014 is not only to penetrate more geographies and to develop and expand our client base, but also bring new innovations to the gaming industry and make betting more entertaining for punters.
Towards the end of 2014, likely at EiG or the G2E conference, we will be unveiling a major new product, which has become possible thanks to our exponential growth in the last couple of years.
