Positive performance of Australasian Gaming Expo

Crowds were thrilled and entertained by “Superman” interpreting some of Aristocrat’s themed games, while IGT showcased an original 1959 Cadillac “Ghost Busters” Ectomobile to complete the presentation of their latest poker machine games. 185 exhibitors enjoyed the spectacle – and the crowds – including 2013 Best Stand winner Polysafe Unbreakable Drinkware and 40 first-time exhibitors.

Event owner and operator, the Gaming Technologies Association, offered a trip for two to Las Vegas for Visitors at each day of the Expo. Anne Johnson's name was drawn from all the visitors’ on Tuesday and with her sister Maryanne, generously decided to give the prize to her parents who own the Prince Alfred Hotel at Booval, Queensland.  Kelly Bryant from Port Macquarie Golf Club and John Binnie from Westmead Tavern in NSW are also shouting “Viva Las Vegas” thanks to each winning a trip for two at the Australasian Gaming Expo.

Planning is already well under way for next year’s Australasian Gaming Expo which will be on Tuesday 12 to Thursday 14 August 2014 at Sydney Harbour Expo @ Glebe Island.  The new facility is currently under construction and will commence operations within 6 months. Complimentary ferry services will operate from Darling Harbour and complimentary shuttle buses will operate from Central Station to service the facility.

The Glebe Island site has absolute water frontage on three sides to Sydney Harbour and features a wonderful view of both the Anzac Bridge and the Sydney Harbour Bridge.   Fully serviced exhibition facilities including a range of pop-up bars and restaurants will be provided during events.  

The Gaming Technologies Association’s members include Ainsworth Game Technology, Aristocrat Technologies, Aruze Gaming Australia, Bally Technologies, IGT Australia, Konami Gaming Australia, SHFL entertainment Australasia and WMS Gaming Australia.
