According to the information received, it is a 100-metres long ship and a beam of 17 meters, eight floors, built by 52 five-star rooms, superior and junior suite, living-dining room, four gambling halls, a spa and a swiming pool, four multipurpose rooms, cinema, solarium, fitness center and parking space.
“It is a floating hotel casino, a transformed ship without its own propulsion system, the engines and the mechanical part were removed, it became a ship-shaped platform which we think will be a regional attraction,” indicated Eduardo Torres, President of IPLyC.
“It will be located in plot one of the 600 hectares near the international bridge. The ship itself has a cost of usd 48 million. It is part of the so-called “Mini Las Vegas” Project, since we found out that this firm was interested, we started working and we reached a licensing agreement. If everything goes well, the ship could start operating in six months, despite the statements of several businessmen, we have to bet on new developments,” he added.
José Domingo, Commercial Manager of the Compañía General de Turismo y Servicios, indicated that the ship is located in Puerto Madero and will be delivered to Posadas by tráiler. It will have its own wharf. The development will employ 400 to 500 people, and joins another similar development belonging to the same firm, but which is a land-based casino.
