(Malta).- Yggdrasil Gaming has been granted its Class 4 operators licence for remote gaming by the Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LGA) in Malta. The company said it is ready to go live with its first licensee, PlayCherry upon completion of final preparation.

Fredrik Elmqvist, Yggdrasil Gaming CEO, said: “We only put the first shovel into the ground in September last year and now, just seven months later, we have a remote games’ server and an overall suit of 20+ games certified in one of the most competitive remote gaming jurisdictions in Europe. It has been an accomplishment by everyone involved, and we are excited by the future of the online lottery sector.

"Gaming operators are moving very fast to grab their share of the online lottery market - the final frontier in iGaming - and at Yggdrasil we are expanding and revitalizing the lottery vertical into something which is very exciting for both online players and collaborative partners. The receipt of our Class 4 licence from the LGA means we have products ready for regulated gaming operator’s right now,” he added.
