Cirsa Gaming Corporation has been the first traditional gaming company to successfully launch its online gaming website in Spain, according to the company. Since this week, Spanish bettors may have access to www.cirsa.es in order to play in Casino Tables, Poker, Bingo or sportsbooks (also live and accesible through the mobile phone).
A year ago, Cirsa started working with a structure of specialists, and more than 50 people have worked only and exclusively with the aim to offer online gaming.
Cirsa is one of the 53 companies that have achieved a license from the Spanish government to offer Internet games. Besides, other two Catalonian groups, MGA and Peralada Group, have announced the start of its betting websites.
MGA habilitated this week its new website: goldenpark.es, which has been boosted in Alliance with the UK firm Stan James. "All our players in Spain will be able to enjoy a new gaming offer everywhere and according to the situation”, pointed from MGA.
The VP of the company, Enric Sanahuja, has expained that the kick off of the website has meant an investment of 2 million euros, together with the launch of a national advertising campaign that will be allocated 1 million euros.
The other Catalonian company that plans to operate in Internet soon is Grupo Peralada, which has launched the website “casinobarcelona.es” (not operational yet) and in which Internet users may play poker, roulette, black jack or baccarat "with the security and reliability of Casino de Barcelona", they indicated.
The Ministry of Economy has granted 277 online gaming licenses to 53 companies. 59 entities have participated in the procedure of granting of licenses, which requested 98 general licenses and 197 exclusive licenses. Finally, a total of 91 general licenses and 186 exclusive licenses have been granted to a total of 53 companies.
The Secretary of Economy, Miguel Ferre also highlighted the business opportunity that is being generated in the gambling sector and in new technologies, and in which way a great part of the income of this industry is allocated to the Treasury and to social activities.
