The 1,800 rooms is expected to put presure on other casino-hotels in the nation's second largest gaming market that has been facing growing competition from Pennsylvania. At the same time, Revel may be able to attract more visitors looking for upscale dining and other amenities that have helped rival Las Vegas tough out the downturn.
Revert will start out with select restaurant openings, gaming, performance spaces, spa, daylife and nightlife amenities. A full opening will take place on May 25, the kickoff of Memorial Day weekend. During the preview, Revel's guests will experience seven of 14 restaurants created by acclaimed chefs Alain Allegretti, Marc Forgione, Jose Garces and Robert Wiedmaier. Additional restaurants will be highlighted throughout the eight-week preview.
Revel, which spans 6.3 million square feet and standing 47 stories tall, provides a comprehensive resort experience featuring many levels:
Revelry, will showcases restaurants, shops, nightclubs, dayclubs, an intimate performance space for 700 and a casino
The Mezz, includes a theater with a capacity for 5,500 and 160,000 square feet of meeting space
A resort with more than 1,800 guest rooms and suites
The lobby has nearly two acres of outdoor space anchored by SkyGarden and InOut Pool, a pool that begins indoors and continues outside
Revel is located on the Boardwalk between South New Jersey and South Connecticut avenues in Atlantic City.
