(UK).- As the third EAG International Expo drew to a close, the event organisers EAG and BACTA reported satisfaction at another great performance. “EAG International Expo Chairman Martin Burlin explained: “I couldn’t be happier with the outcome of EAG International 2012”.

Burling said: “The show looked stunning, build up and operations were smooth and stress free, and ExCel has proved once again that it is a world class venue.  Whilst the final numbers have yet to be compiled and audited, the results so far show a strong attendance on days one and two of the show, including a good turn out from overseas visitors. As organisers, that is everything we can hope for and the team has delivered on every front”.

“From a business point of view,” continued Burlin, “I appreciate that times are extremely challenging but I have spoken with many exhibitors this week and there are plenty of success stories.  There is no doubt that those companies with the right product and the right approach will find buyers.

“Kevin Weir of Electrocoin told me that they had a busy first day and a terrific response to their Vegas Strip title. Whittaker Brothers also reported taking good orders on the first day of the show, as did Sound Leisure. Innovative Leisure’s Phil Pickersgill confirmed that they had more than doubled the number of enquiries over last year and that there had been a good mix of UK based and overseas visitors.

“AMG Leisure’s Mark Sowray was equally positive, saying that it has been a super show with a steady flow of serious buyers. First time exhibitors Antrim Carpets, also confirmed that they also had a fantastic week. These are just a few of the stories I have heard and I am sure that we will see more in the trade press over the coming weeks,” predicted Burlin.

In conclusion, Martin Burlin added his thanks to exhibitors and visitors for their continued support and for their part in consolidating EAG’s position as the must-attend event for the amusement and coin-op industries.
