How did you see SAGSE this year and how do you evaluate Novomatic’s presence at the show in Buenos Aires?
SAGSE 2011, as in previous years, was a very good show for Novomatic. This year, particularly, we clearly underlined the importance of the Latin American market for our company; as a region and country by country thoughout. That is why we brought representatives from all of our distributors and companies in the continent; we had representation from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Paraguay and Peru. Everybody reported that the current and future prospects are good. We have enjoyed a very positive year in South America and, just as importantly, we can see that the future for Novomatic is also very good in this important region.
Did you have the chance to see operators from all South America, from the markets you were interested?
Yes, we had the chance to meet lots of customers from all South America, and that was obviously the reason why we decided to bring representatives from all of our subsidiaries. All of our customers had the chance to see the extremely wide range of products we brought to our stand in Buenos Aires.
What kind of machines and what kind of games did you present?
For us, here in the South American markets, our multi-game mixes and our Super-V+ Gaminator mixes, based on our Coolfire II platform are extremely important. We also presented a new innovation, which is the Super-V+ Gaminator but now incorporating the widescreens of our highly successful slant-top cabinet, Novostar. And specially designed for the South American market, we have our Novo Super-Vision cabinet, with two screens.
We also have a selection of multi-game mixes for our platform Coolfire I+, that combines the advantages of the structure of our Coolfire I with the new games of Coolfire II, so we can offer this fantastic cost conscious combination to our customers in South America as well.
Additionally, we brought also the newest platform we have in our portfolio, which is the NovoLine. It was presented at SAGSE as a standalone installation but, if the customer decides today to purchase this product with a Novoline platform, we can, whenever he wants, change the installation to server-based for downloadable gaming. It is almost a “plug and play transition”. Very easy, very quick and extremely cost effective.
Is downloadable gaming popular in South America? How do you see it?
Not just yet. But it will come so, of course, we are always trying to envision our customers and to tell them what we see for the future of international gaming industries in different markets.
Will we see Novomatic here in Buenos Aires again for SAGSE 2012?
Absolutely!. SAGSE will remain the most important show for us in the South American market because we attract such a lot of visitors from across the Latin American continent. For next year, we have booked our space already, and with the prominent position that our customers and guests expect from Novomatic.
