How have you seen SAGSE show this year?
I think Argentina is a very important market globally, so the show obviously reflects the demand. You see all top manufacturers and the event, and we find that the people that come by our booth are all ready to do business, so it is an environment in which it is very easy to strike up relationships and find new friends and new alliances. We like the show very much.
And what products are you presenting here?
At SAGSE 2011 we are presenting two products. The first one is Altera, an upright casino machine with multi-screen, multi-game and very operational set-ups. And the second one we are introducing is our Echo machine, which is a countertop machine, which could be applicable in smaller provinces, smaller clubs and locations.
What was the feedback from the public here in Argentina?
I think people are excited to see us as another player on the market. I mean, of course there is a great respect to the brands like Bally and IGT, but we present an interest opportunity for someone to expand their player base by giving them alternatively a pleasing product. I would compare our product to Steve Jobs’ Pixar: It’s happy, it’s fun, it’s playful. Somebody who plays our machines would find them entertaining and pleasing, so we think that we provide an excellent selection of games in a multi-game format.
What do you think of the Latin American market in general?
The Latin American market is growing agressively and we feel that we could be very active in. We are relatively new manufacturers although I have 30 years’ experience in the business and we’ve been exposed to the business for many years. People in Latin America are very warm, corporate environment is open to new businesses, and we find that it is quite natural for us to expand in the Latin American market.
Of course, we are looking at practically every corner in Latin American business: the Chilean market, Peru and Panama, too. Colombia is right now going through difficult times but it is a market that has been growing and we are looking at it very seriously. And of course Argentina is probably the best market considering the net win. Machines are producing phenomenal revenue and the player base is very important. And we are hoping the Brazilian market to open, which is a nation with more than 160 million people. It is a great market, and we are very excited about that, too.
