GPI appoints Vice President of Sales, Asia

(Australia).- GPI announced that last August 1, Scott McCarthy joined the company as Vice President of Sales in Asia to oversee the company's expanding operations throughout the Asia Pacific region.

(Australia).- GPI announced that last August 1, Scott McCarthy joined the company as Vice President of Sales in Asia to oversee the company's expanding operations throughout the Asia Pacific region.

With extensive Casino Cage and Count Management experience, McCarthy brings to GPI a wealth of knowledge that will be an integral part of the firm's growing RFID product portfolio as well as its existing currency product offerings. In his role, McCarthy will be responsible for the region's sales and service functions and will oversee the Company's Asia employee base.

"Scott's expertise in Casino Currency Operations and Management and his depth of experience in Casino RFID implementation will be a tremendous asset as we leverage our Chip Inventory System and other RFID products in new and exciting ways to support the Casino currency tracking needs of our valued customers," added Gronau.

The former Director of Cage and Count for City of Dreams, Macau, McCarthy was responsible for overseeing the casino's Cash and Chip flow operations and worked closely with Executive Management to ensure that the property's Cage and Count Operations were in accordance with overall business objectives and EBITDA targets.

With over fifteen years' experience in Cage currency operations, including an extensive background in VIP / Junket Casino operations McCarthy has been instrumental achieving benchmark standards in the Gaming industry.  In addition to assisting with the opening of City of Dreams, McCarthy was also involved in the opening of Altira (formerly Crown Macau) as Cage Manager and prior to moving to Macau, held a number of increasingly responsible positions with Crown Casino in Melbourne, Australia.
