According to IGT authorities, Da Silva –who counts with a long experience in the gaming sector and started working in the company in 1999-, “played a key role in the business generation from the North to the South, from Panama and the Dominican Republic to Ushuaia”.
In a press release, IGT authorities pointed that Da Silva stated that her experience in the company was “pleasant, gratifying and full of challenges”. She also commented that she has enjoyed the challenge that had to do with the release of the widest range of products of the industry, the opening of new markets and the constant fight to keep IGT position as market leader.
John Wimsett, Executive Director of IGT for Latin America, remarked the years of service of Norma Da Silva in the company and described her as belonging to a “singular type of executive within an excellent staff of sales”. He added that the name Da silva “will be etched for a long time in the history of IGT Latin America”.
