What is the balance of Australasian Gaming Expo 2010?
The Expo floor is 15,000 square metres (160,000 square feet) – 55% gaming machines and 45% other hospitality equipment such as signage, furniture, staff uniforms and security systems.  Which were the main characteristics of this year's show?  Lots of new games and machines, the emergence of new gaming technologies and the evolution of signage and display systems.

What big players of the industry can you mention between the exhibitors?
Ainsworth, Aristocrat, Aruze, Bally, IGT, Konami and Shuffle Master all have major stands at the Australasian Gaming Expo.

Why do you think that companies like Bally - which debuted this year - or Aristocrat among others have decided to support and participate in a show like this?
The Australasian Gaming Expo is the largest gaming equipment exhibition in the region and has operated annually for 21 years (since 1990).  It’s the major event on the gaming industry calendar each year and draws thousands of highly qualified gaming executives who really know their industry and look forward to seeing the world’s best gaming equipment on show here.

Which main trends did you observe during this edition?
The emergence of new gaming technologies and the evolution of signage and display systems. These new technologies are really picking up momentum and will surely generate a lot of excitement in future years.

What are the principal problems of the Australasian market?
There has been been unreasonable criticism of the industry by uninformed people. What are their possible solutions?  Continuing to work together with our industry colleagues to better educate governments and media representatives about the positive contributions our industry will continue to make.

Which are Gaming Technologies Association's objectives for the coming months?
(a) Increase key stakeholders’ understanding of our vibrant, responsible and sustainable industry; (b) Support efficient, balanced and effective gaming policy, legislation and regulation; (c) Champion technology as a key contributor to responsible gaming efforts; (d) Encourage innovation to better meet player and customer needs; and (e) Represent the interests of gaming suppliers while contributing to the leadership of the broader Australian gaming industry.
