Chile: Citigroup incorporation to Fischer Group casinos approved

The new partner will enter with a share of 41.34%, through the legal entity Entretenimientos del Sur Limitada. The investment that Citigroup will make to be incorporated to the property of the Fischer Group casinos is 2,141 million Financial Units, which means, us$ 88.5 million approximately.

With the authorization of the Superintendence, operating societies of the casinos of Temuco, Valdivia, Coyhaique and Punta Arenas now belong in a 58.66% to Claudio and Humberto Fischer Llop, and in 41.34% to Citigroup Inc.

On top of the personal, accounting, commercial, tax, banking and criminal backgrounds of the new partners, the Superintendence collected individual information of people through Interpol consultation.

Besides, professionals of the Superintendence had technical interviews of investigation in the City of Nueva York with the main executives of Citigroup, auditors, banks and regulators.
