Chilean casinos generated gross income for us$ 195 million

In its report, the SCJ said that, in 11 months this year, the industry generated us$ 195.02 million in gross gaming incomes, us$ 32.55 million for specific gaming tax, us$ 31.14 million in VAT concept and us$ 17.03 million in income tax.

According to the report, just in November, the 15 casinos operating generated gross gaming income (win) for us$ 23.68 million and received 368,423 visits, which spent an average of us$ 65.2 each.

Besides, the 15 city councils and 10 regional governments have to receive us$ 3.95 million for specific gaming tax and the state must receive us$ 1.87 million in income tax.

Operating societies also generated us$ 3.78 million in VAT concept to gaming. Compared to the previous month (October), gross gaming income registered a growth rate of 1.5 %, because in October the winning was us$ 23.33 million and in November, us$ 23.68 million.

It is explained because, although the number of visits decreased a 11.92 %, -in October, casinos received 418,294 visitors and in November, 368,423- the average expense per visit grew a 7.17 %.

Of the 15 new casinos that operate in the country, Monticello Grand Casino –which operates around 70 kilometers South of Santiago- registered the biggest amount in gross gaming incomes, with the equivalent to us$ 8.01 million of the us$ 23.68 million they received all together.
