In 2008 Novomatic was honoured by the organizing committee of the SAGSE expo in recognition of the company’s excellence in development and innovation in South America. There were no trophies this year but there was the satisfaction of the entire Novomatic Group representatives, Austrian Gaming Industries GmbH (AGI), newly founded subsidiary AGI Argentina, Crown Gaming of Peru and Novo Gaming Chile.
Formally announced just prior to SAGSE was the foundation of the latest South American Novomatic subsidiary company, Crown Gaming Paraguay S.A. and senior executives were present in Buenos Aires and making their debuts in person.
The Novomatic booth presented powerful and attractive products and solutions for the many Latin American casino and gaming markets. Highlights of the booth and, indeed, the show itself were the Novo Super-Vision and Super-V+ Gaminator cabinets featuring the latest Coolfire II multi-game mixes (up to mix number 30). Also, the premium slant top cabinet Novo-Vision Slant Top I was displayed, also presenting multi-game mixes for this important product sector.
AGI Managing Director Jens Halle evaluated the Novomatic presence at SAGSE by saying: “With our market presence now enhanced by the formation of AGI Argentina and Crown Gaming Paraguay S.A. together with Novo Gaming Chile we have a real presence across South America. Thanks to the valued efforts and professionalism of our new team members we have been able here at SAGSE to meet and welcome not just existing customers but make new contacts from Argentina plus other countries such as Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Venezuela and Peru. Actual sales done at the show were higher than predicted and there will be more to come in the near future as sales enquiries are followed up. In all, I have been highly satisfied with this year’s edition of SAGSE and I thank the organization for putting together such a professional and well run event”
Max Lindenberg, Head Marketing and Business Development AGI, underlined the statement of Jens Halle by noting: “It seems that SAGSE has turned out to be a big success: clearly, the best SAGSE that Novomatic has attended. This show was always of critical importance for Argentina and its gaming industry but SAGSE has now built on the success of 2008 and clearly taken the next key step in its development and become a truly regional, I should say continental, show. The reaction of visitors from all over South America to our products and their possibilities has been extremely positive and just goes to underline Novomatic’s firm belief that all of Latin America is one of the global gaming industry’s true hot spots.”
