Renovations have begun on InterContinental San Juan Casino
(Puerto Rico).- The InterContinental San Juan Resort & Casino is in the process of refurbishing its casino, which hasn’t been upgraded since 2003, but will remain open during the construction.

The remodellation includes new design, carpeting, lighting and new state-of-the-art slots machines.
The new slots belong to four different gaming vendors -IGT, Aristocrat, WMS Gaming and Atronic- some of which have already been installed.
The renovation of the casino began September 21 and will be done in three phases over the course of 90 days. The casino (described as an important amenity for hotel guests and locals) represents about 25 % of the hotel’s total revenue and employs over 100 people.
The Intercontinental San Juan Resort & Casino features 402 guestrooms, a variety of restaurants, a lagoon-shaped swimming pool with cascade, a full-service Spa and Fitness Center, and a 789.6 sqm casino.
