Spain: In 2008 online betting generated more than 200 million euros
The association calculates that, during the previous campaign, sportsbooks generated an income of 75 million euros, which supposes an approximate increment of 25% while poker collected 45 million euros in 2008, which means an approximate income of 10%.
Besides, casino and other gaming modalities generated an income of approximately 85 million euros, with a 20% increment.
The association thinks that, during the current year, there will be a 20% increment in collection, with a 30% rise in sportsbooks and a 10% and 20% rise in poker bets, in casino and other gaming modalities, respectively.
Besides, Aedapi estimates that this growing trend will be maintained in the future, so, in the next exercise, there will a collection of almost 250 million euros until 450 million euros in 2012.
