Rob McLoughlin, Executive General Manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa, confirmed: “This has been a very strong exhibition for Aristocrat. We have achieved a record number of signed contracts in what is a challenging trading environment. Customers have been very impressed by the high number of product launches, a response which vindicates the ongoing and significant R&D investment made by Aristocrat across its range of products.”
Daniel Lindsay, General Manager – Sales & Marketing – Europe, added: “I think what we have seen in London is a slightly different approach from operators. Overall visitor numbers have not reached the heights of previous years, but we have found it has been the decision makers that have made the journey to London, a factor which has probably put a sharper business focus on the event. Buyers have made the journey from across Europe, with operators from Portugal, Slovenia and the Balkan region particularly well represented.”
The strategic importance Aristocrat places on Europe was reflected in the attendance at IGE of the senior executive team comprising Executive Chairman David Simpson, incoming CEO Jamie Odell, CFO Simon Kelly, CTO Gareth Phillips and Group General Managers David Hughes (R&D) and Paul Kitchin (Marketing).
Aristocrat also staged an industry party on the eve of the show. Attended by more than 300 guests drawn from all over Europe, the theme followed Aristocrat’s IGE ‘Great Sense’ proposition.
