First Congress of the American Horse Race Industry was performed in Argentina

After the welcome, in charge of Pablo Kavulakian and Horacio Espósito –president and director of LARC, respectively- 13 sessions were held, with the participation of important speakers that treated different issues related to the current situation and the future of this industry.

Breeding in South America and United States, commercialization of purebred horses, doping, security in the race tracks, situation and perspective of OSAF, horse racing and tourism, exchange of horse race signals and North-South integration, were some of the issues treated before a big quantity of local and international visitors. It was an interesting event in which they shared experiences, with the aim to support the development of the South American horse racing industry.

Among the speakers, there will be Louis Romanet (President of International Federation of Horse Race Authorities, IFHA), Enrique Meyer (Secretary of Tourism of Argentina), Bruno Quintana (President of Argentine Jockey Club and OSAF), Joe De Francis (Former president of Maryland Jockey Club and Vicepresident executive of MEC), Alexander Waldrop (President of NTRA, US), Robert Beck (President of the Kentucky Racing Commission, US), Horacio Bauer (President of Executive Technical Council of OSAF), Tom Thornbury (Director of Sales of Keeneland, US), Marcel Zarour (Director of Breeders of Chile of FSC and Vice President of Horse Race Club of Santiago), Steve Keech (President and CEO of Amtote Internacional, US) and Scott Daruty (CEO of Track Net Media, US), and Dennis Smoter (Director of Simulcasting and Mutual Bets of Maryland Jockey Club, US).

Government authorities gathered with authorities from international associations.
