Edwardsville Planning Commission recommends zoning for Sands casino

The recommendation is contingent on the state approving a contract with Sands to manage the casino.
The casino, which would be located south of Kansas Speedway and Interstate 70, is similar to one proposed for a site in Kansas City, Kansas. The proposal calls for a 17,187 sqm casino with a 300-room hotel, 19,045 sqm of retail and 11,612 sqm for a multipurpose center.
