Suppliers launch new defense solution for software protection in Russia
This release has to do with the increase of counterfeit software circulation which seemingly “responds” to the latest changes in the Russian legislation (making the lowest win not less than 90% for all kinds of EGMs).
From now and on, operators will be getting software from their distributor accompanied with special holographic stickers and certificates proving the software's legal origin. These certificates will also prove that it was legally received along with the denomination and a unit number the operator got from Unicum Gaming. Each sticker on software will get its own number which will be kept in an operator's database.
Also according to the approved program of control and revelation of counterfeit products a special division K of Russian Ministry of Interior will take on regular check-ups of operators and their certificates and stickers. EGMs without stickers and certificates will be considered as counterfeit ones.
